Visit with Santa

Went to see santa last night.  The boys were very excited as I made them get in nice clothes.  Nicholas has been talking about getting his picture with Santa for ages.  We got there and it was just a room with Santa in it.  No other kids.  Nathan immediately hid behind matt.  Nicholas didn't want to sit on his lap or even stand too close.  He didn't want to tell Santa what he wanted.  After a few minutes of cajoling, Nicholas finally told him he wants a remote controlled truck.  Then it was Nathan's turn.  We had discussed this before and he had told me what he wanted to tell Santa but when the time came, he just couldn't bring himself to ask.  So he ran around the room acting silly until he finally stood there and whispered in my ear what he wanted.  A zoo.  Santa asked him what was in the zoo.  And he answered penguins and turtles.  So at least he talked to him a little bit.  Then I did get one picture.

Then we went to lights in Nay Aug (scaled down version of lights on the parkway).  It was fun and the boys enjoyed it but of course they said, "is that it?"  when we were done.  Nicholas was so exhausted he fell asleep on the way home.  But when we got home they both were awake and spent a long time coloring in the new coloring books that Santa gave them till way after bed time.
