Tasty Treat

Nicholas has sworn off food that's not breaded and fried. Even simple pasta with butter is not for him. This morning we had left over pancakes... with CHOCOLATE CHIPS!!! Nope, refused to eat them. BUT.... that dog food, well that's the best thing since chicken nuggets. If we forget to raise it up on the counter top and he sees it, it's a mad dash to the bowl. And if we are really not paying attention he will literally start to chow down. WHY? I just don't understand how he can refuse pancakes but love dog food. It must be his new found obsession with the dog. He follows her around the house trying to lay on her and pet. Of course the dog is too stupid to stay in the room where he can't get to her... she just wants to be with us, but then she gets tortured. Oh well.

Nathan has started a new olympic sport. It's called, refrigerator climbing. Yesterday matt walked into the kitchen to find Nathan hanging from the second shelf of the refrigerator trying to get his milk. Obviously there was a time out for that. Not sure why Nathan is having such a hard time not getting into trouble lately. He just needs to push his limits right now. i feel there is some sibling rivarlry behind it all. Nicholas has been in an extra pesty mood lately. Matt and I are getting fed up with it, so I'm sure the object of his pestiness (Nathan) has probably had just about enough. Hopefully once Nicholas gets a little older and can play with toys instead of just destroying them, things will get a little more peaceful. I remember Nathan being in this stage of just knocking everything over and throwing everything on the floor. But back then it was just Matt's tower that he knocked over, or my ball that he threw in the air. So we didn't mind so much. But now he's pesting Nathan, Nathan who we just got to calm down and play a game of legos with and now here comes Nicholas the dinosaur to destroy all that he surveys. Which causes Nathan to go into a yelling fit and before we know it, Nathan is on time for not listening. It'll be a long year till Nicholas is finally out of this stage. I hear 5 and 3 are good ages.
