Bipolar Weather

How can it go from sleeting and snowing on Saturday to a beautiful and bright 66 on Sunday? At least on Saturday we had an activity to get us out of the house. We went to an easter egg hunt put on by my women's club. There were only about 5 kids there of all different ages. Nathan had a great time finding and picking up all the eggs. Then he would count them. Then he would crack them open and take out the candy (plastic eggs) and hand it to us and keep the shell. He was much more interested in the egg than the candy. I'm not sure how he can be our child.. although daddy did see him come out.

We went to a new park on Sunday. He absolutely loved it. There were a lot more climbing type things that he could actually do. At our park the climbing things are all straight up and mommy and daddy get to nervous with him doing those. These were more on an angle with cool positioning for the feet. He had a great time. Plus this park was enclosed with a gate. At one point he was just running from side to side in the park screaming and hitting the gates. It was fun not to have to chase him down all the time. He had a great time watching the older kids climb up the slide instead of sliding down the slide. too bad mommy and daddy are meanies and wouldn't let him do that.Then we thought we were golden for nap time because he fell asleep in the car on the ride home. usually we can get him into the house without a problem... but yesterday he wasn't having any of it. WE put him in his crib and he popped his head up and started chit chatting like he hadn't been asleep at all. Daddy finally got him to go down about an hour and a half later. But since it was so late in teh afternoon by then I didn't feel like doing any of the yard work that I had planned. So instead I sat on my porch with my feet up and my iced tea and read a book (thanks bill and terri and gage). It was nice and relaxing. I hope this weather sticks around becuase I find myself in a much better mood when it does.
