Merry Christmas

I try to avoid all things Christmas until after Thanksgiving. So here it is after TG and Merry Christmas to all. We've got radio stations with Xmas songs, xmas shopping galore and even the wiggles and elmo have had xmas specials on already. Get set, get ready, go shop.

We had a great time this past week with all our travels. Went to DC and caught up with Suzanna and Vicki. We went to the National Zoo and saw a bunch of animals. You know one of the best things about that zoo.... it's free. So even though nathan got tired soon after lunch, we were able to leave without feeling like we were getting jipped. He had a great time looking at the elephants, monkeys and birds. He did really great on all the car rides, especially considering he was in the car for 7 hours in one day and then two days later he was in the car for another 3 hours.

Then we spent the rest of the week between our families. We all had a nice relaxing time. Nathan got to spend a lot of time with all the grandparents and aunts and uncles and Connor. They had a pretty good time playing together even with the occasional shoving match over toys. No biting this week so I was really proud of him. We even got to see some other friends of ours and Nathan played well with them as well. Maybe we are over this biting thing. But I don't want to jinx myself. He's back in daycare after having over a week off. The first thing he did this morning when I dropped him off was climb onto the climber in the room. Then as another boy tried to climb up with him he started pushing him down the stairs (it's only 2 steps so not a huge drop). I told him to stop pushing and he did but it looks like he wasn't in the mood to share this morning. Oh well... he'll get used to them all again real soon.

Work is getting hectic with the big push to get things wrapped up this year. What is it about that end of year thing. We really don't have that many deadlines that end with the new year, most of them are march or october. But still we try to get so much done before the end of the year. I guess it's just in our nature to try to start the new year with a clean slate.

have a great day
