Happy Halloween

Ok so it's a day late but oh well. I'll get pictures of Nathan in his costume up for your perusal in the next few days. He actually enjoyed being in his costume. I was worried because when I first got it for him and tried it on, he hated it. But a month later and he was fine. He had a great time visiting all his grandparents this weekend and trick or treating at their houses. He charmed everyone with his Hi's and Bye's and kiss blowing. Even though his kitty was at home, he still found other kitties to attack and lay on. They put up with him surprisingly well. He also did well with the time change. It was only about a half a day of being off his schedule and then he was back in the swing of things. He had a great time playing with Connor as well. They are two very different boys but they still enjoy playing together. We got a tunnel out and the two of them were just crawling through it and laughing and peeking out at each other. Then they both decided to flop on the same big pillows together. Legs and arms were flying but they had a good time and no one got hurt. Of course most of this playing occurs in the last hour before bed time. That seems to be the goofy hour. It's when all the restraints are gone. It's almost like he's drunk... he just gets punchy and everything is funny. That is getting to be my favorite time of the day.

We had quite a few kids last night for trick or treating. Matt got three big (BJ's sized) bags of candy. We gave out over two bags worth. The rest matt is taking to school with him. But that's probably 150-200 kids worth of candy we got rid of. I was out with a Junior's event and was driving home around 7PM. I could barely drive down my street because there were so many kids in the streets. It was the worst around the teenagers houses because they were just basically having a party in the street. Nathan was unsure about why all these people were coming to the door and why daddy was giving them candy and WHY were they dressed that way? But he was fine and had a good time playing with the candy and trying to squish it before the kids got it. Overall a pretty good Halloween.
